Private security in Argentina, a market that grows in the shadow of fear and Insecurity

Buenos Aires, July 3, 2008 (RENA)- The market for private security in the country is in remarkable growth. Industry estimates foresee a continued and sustained increase locally for the coming years in all its segments, but Argentina is no exception. The phenomenon also is growing in Latin America, especially in terms of demand for security guards, at a rate of between 5 to 9 percent annual cumulative, and in monitoring with alarms, rates ranging from 8 to 20 percent, according to the country. It is a market in frank expansion but suffers from very high levels of illegality that nobody can control due to lack of national legislation.
