Brazil already leads the recycling of aluminum cans in the world
Buenos Aires, July 29, 2010 (RENA). Brazil has become the champion of recycling aluminum cans, with a record of more than 14 billion last year. The process began in 1989 and grew up with such development that reuses currently 96.5 per cent of used cans. In 2009, activity gave resources to 180 000 families and three years ago generated revenues of 1,120 million dollars. In Argentina the process is gaining ground but a little slower. Recycling cans is highly regarded in the world because it benefits the environment.
